The Elder Scrolls Online could suffer a six-month delay on PS4 and Xbox One, according to a now-deleted line from the MMO’s official FAQ page.
Before it was deleted, the FAQ read, “The Elder Scrolls Online officially launched on April 4, 2014 on PC and Mac. While it has become clear that our planned June release of the console versions isn’t going to be possible, we have made great progress, we have concluded that we’ll need about six more months to ensure we deliver the experience our fans expect and deserve. For additional information on the delay, please see this blog post.”
The link at the end and the text have since been removed, and this Reddit thread dedicated to the matter suggests that Bethesda is deleting the posts and banning the accounts of users spreading the text in what appears to be a wave of damage limitation.
We’ve contacted Bethesda for comment and will update you as this matter unfolds.
