E3 2016 Recap Sony Vs Microsoft
This Article is not start any kind of fanboy war but to go over what both Sony and Microsoft had brought onto the table both companies shocking took the complete opposite from each other while Microsoft was more focused on there hardware Sony was more focused on the Games / PS VR.
Let’s start with Microsoft as they where first as stated, Microsoft was more focused on there hardware at this years E3 which in my opinion it was something they needed to do in order to get back into the market. Starting with the Console they announced 2 consoles first the Xbox One S and yes S stands for Slim. The Xbox One S is really cool and in my opinion is perfect for anyone looking into getting the Xbox One as the slim model is 40% slimmer cost $300 not only that offers 2 TB storage along with 4k support for media such as blu ray and 4K media streaming. The next console is there secret weapon known as the Xbox One scorpio which is to be there most powerful system. Not much was said however it will be what they say the most powerful Console on the marking and with support of VR gaming.
Other big Reveals is there Play Anywhere meaning if you buy a digital copy of a game on the Microsoft system you will have 2 copies (Example buying a digital game on Xbox One will grant you access to the Windows 10 PC version of that set game) Xbox One Design Lab is another unique addition allowing users to create there own Custom Controller at a affordable price and to be allowed to have there Gamertage engraved at an addition cost. Besides that we got to see some Exclusive titles such as Gears of War 4 and did I forget to mention a Limited Edition Gears of War 4 Elite Controller, along with Recore, Forza Horizon 3, Halo Wars 2 which has an open beta starting now, Dead Rising 4 along with a few Third Party titles like Tekken 7 ( Can’t Wait ) Battlefield 1, Final Fantasy 15 and a few more…
Now let’s talk about Sony as we got to end off the day with in my opinion my favorite showing of E3 unlike Microsoft who was more focused on improving there system with new additions Sony was more focused on the games and man talk about Fan Service to the MAX. Before I talk about the games let’s start of with there New System coming out sadly it was not the PlayStation 4 Project Neo ( Which is fine because in 2017 Sony and Microsoft will be battling head to head with there new consoles ) we got to see more of PlayStation VR which is something I can’t wait to get. Sony announced PlayStation VR will be launching world wide on October 13th which I will be unboxing on behalf of Gamerfuzion and covering. We got to see some fantastic looking VR games as well with over 50 games listed so fare to be coming to the device.
Going over the games Sony revealed almost feels like a dream almost like this could not be real however I’m glad this is no dream the first game to make an appearance of the show floor is a brand new God of War currently in the making and showed some fantastic footage of the game, along with fan favorites like the Crash Bandicoot getting a HD Remake for PlayStation 4, New IP’s known as Days Gone, Detroit Become Human, Spiderman, Horizon Zero Dawn, Death Stand ( New game by the man behind the Metal Gear Solid Series Hideo Kojina ) let is not forget a game many of us thought would never see the light of day The Last Guardian which is coming out this year. We also have a PlayStation VR Exclusives Resident Evil, Star Wars, Batman, Farpoint and the list keeping going and going.
Overall Both Sony and Microsoft has many new announcements games/hardware that gamer’s can looking forward to however I can predict that 2017 is when things will really start to heat up with Sony news console PlayStation Neo against Microsoft Xbox One Scorpio only time can tell on which will offer the strongest game console until there there are so many games to look forward to this and next year.
