Xbox Sales go up this year do to last years strategies that allow it to grow this year.
Today, Tuesday, July 21, Microsoft revealed its earnings report for the quarter ended June 30, showing that the Xbox brand was strengthened last year.
So, Microsoft managed to sell 1.4 million consoles, combining figures and Xbox One Xbox 360, that for the period of three months; in comparison, Xbox surpassed the mark of 1.1 million consoles sold during the same quarter last year. This resulted in the revenue produced by the console to rise 10%, rising to $86 billion. This increase resulted from a strong console sales caused by the price cut on Xbox One compared to 2014.
Consequently, Microsoft managed to sell a total of 12.1 million Xbox consoles this fiscal year, exceeding what was done last year, when the company managed to sell 11.7 million consoles.
But not only the scope of the consoles grew. Xbox LIVE reported higher income, gains totaling $205 MDD, this increases the users Xbox platform, prompting the growth of revenues.
In addition, Minecraft also remained strong in this fiscal year. Microsoft said the newly acquired franchise reported an increase of $63 MDD, which translates into growth of 62% compared to 2014.
