Sony Computer Entertainment Europe confirmed today, July 16, 2014, to holders of The Last of Us to PlayStation 3 will receive no discount when purchasing the remastered version for PlayStation 4. The news came from Sony’s blog, administrator Fred Dutton.

The original idea of reducing the price of The Last of Us: Remastered came in mid-April, because the community manager Naughty Dog’s Eric Monacelli, said : “We are studying the business model for this and will post news when we answer all regions.

However, Dutton said that this does not happen when a fan asked whether new PS3 with the original game could buy the new version with a preferential price. “Unfortunately, there is no discount.” he said .

The final price is $49.99 USD in North America and will include all DLC available as Left Behind; also include commentary from director Neil Druckman and voice actors Ellie and Joel (Ashley Johnson and Troy Baker, respectively). Both the campaign and multiplayer will run at 1080p and 60 fps, but users will have to lower them to 30 fps. The Last of Us: Remastered will be released on July 30.
