Naughty Dog is back to discuss the possibilities of starting the development of a sequel to its successful title for PlayStation 3. And suggests that the debate is on the table, and no longer just wishful thinking on the part of fans. The Last of Us 2 takes strength and points directly to PlayStation 4.
Yes, as the first title for the new console is still Uncharted 4 which, for now, remains the only confirmed project by developer in Santa Monica. Anyway, as we said each passing day it seems that the chances of seeing a continuation of the story of Joel and Ellie grow, but for now, we have to continue taking it with some caution.
Because while the company will still have the door open (increasingly) also leave finally kicked back and never see that awaited sequel.
In fact, according to Neil Druckmann, the designer and one of the visible heads of the studio, said in his recent remarks that the chances of the sequel are fifty percent. He has said in a recent conversation with Reddit users.
And even ventured forward some details if the project were approved, it would not be a direct sequel to the original title, as there would be in fact a continuation of the story told in it, once the new story would lead us to a completely different place, as noted Druckmann The Last of Us 2 has more force.
Asked about the possibility that the action transplanted to China or Latin America, the creative director was keen to stress that seems very difficult to change radically the context (so it could grow again in the U.S.), but does not rule on definitively: “probably not, but you never know” stated in its response.
Where would you like the story to take place inThe Last of Us 2? What story would you like to see? Let’s keep our fingers crossed to see if this highly anticipated sequel actually realized in the near future.
