Remember the whole thing that was put together by the Season Pass for Star Wars: Battlefront? Well it seems that DICE players listened as DICE confirmed that Star Wars: Battlefront II will not have season pass.
The creative director of Star Wars: Battlefront II, Bernd Diemer, confirmed in an interview with Mashable that the Season Pass is not part of DICE plans. “We do not want to segment our community, ” he said, so the best option was ruled out this option.
Diemer said the development team concluded that “such games for the Season Pass are not the best”, so they need to work on a better solution.
For now, all we know is that DICE promised to give great support to Star Wars: Battlefront II during its launch. However, there are still many doubts about the monetization of the game, what makes us think of micro transactions, but nothing is clear at the moment.
Star Wars: Battlefront II will debut on November 17 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.
