The program backwards compatibility for Xbox One continues to grow. Larry “Major Nelson” Hryb, director of programming for Xbox LIVE, announced that from today you can already play Halo Wars , SoulCalibur II and The King of Fighters 98 on your current generation console.
It is important to note that, thanks to the March update for Xbox One, can now purchase Xbox 360 titles from Xbox One. So, if you access the store of Xbox you can buy Halo Wars for $19.99, SoulCalibur II $6.99 and the King of Fighters 98 $9.99 and other titles that have reached the backward compatibility program.
That said, the backward compatibility of Xbox One does not need to have the game in digital format to enjoy the latest console from Microsoft. If you have any of the titles in the list of backward compatibility in physical format, all you have to do is insert the disc into your Xbox One to download the digital version. It is important to note that whenever you want to play that title, the disc must be in your console.
