Ignite Engine, Electronic Arts sports engine for the next gen, only present in version of FIFA 14 for PS4 and Xbox One, not the PC. Andrew Wilson explains why.
One of the biggest bets of Electronic Arts in the face of the new generation is Ignite Engine, the new graphics engine with which the company aims to provide unprecedented realism to sports games for PS4 and Xbox One But what about PC ?
As we know, EA has taken the decision to develop Ignite Engine FIFA 14 exclusively on the new consoles from Sony and Microsoft, retaining the graphics engine to deliver FIFA 13 computer, a decision that many ‘Peceros’ not just understand and to know the exact reason … until today, when Andrew Wilson, vice president of EA Sports, clarified in an interview that everything is a matter of power:
“PCs are now able to move Ignite Engine, but the configuration of components with most users could not, so we prefer to focus on the bulk of players. Perhaps in the future we can see the potential in Ignite Engine PC, but it would take ‘a few things’ for this to happen. ”
Since then, Wilson’s words does not follow any excitement at the possibility of moving the new engine of the company PC games, but hopefully everything is a matter of time and that in the near future we can see Ignite Engine also in compatible.
Anyway, do you convince the boss of EA’s explanation?
