Destiny The Taken King Shield Brothers Strike Walkthrough
During Bungie’s Livestream we were introduced to one of the strikes for Destiny The Taken King. The Mission was called Shield Brothers a Level 36 strike that takes place in the Dreadnaught. A very easy strike mission in which you travel deep into the heart of the Dreadnaught in pursuit of a Cabal Assault team. Stop it from detonating the Hive ship’s cover.
The Shield Brothers Mission takes place in Dreadnaught, Rings of Saturn a Level 36 strike. As the fireteam progressed we were able to learn a few more things such as items that were rewarded as you play the strike. One of the items that were rewarded with was “Skyburners Command Beacon”. This seems like a key to unlock something that you get in Destiny The Taken King Expansion such as a sparrow or something else.
The First big boss in the taken king shield brothers strike is Goliath Tank that look huge but to the surprise of the team it was very easy to destroy with the Titan Subclass Sunbreaker. The Goliath Tank took a lot of damage against the hammers that were being thrown at.
Next Enemies were the Taken Cabal who were a better match but once again if you had your third class of either Sunbreaker, Stormcaller or Niightstalker it was no much. Analyzing these three classes leads us to think that they are just too powerful or the enemies are just not strong enough to give a good match.
Last we see the fireteam face the Shield Brothers one at a time. First was the Valus Mau’ual, he has some awesome wings that can propel him fast from sections and perform quick attacks. The other boss is Valus Tlu’um who is more of a ground boss but yet strong if going against him. Each boss takes turns in fighting and at the end they both team up to go against the fireteam. The two bosses were no match against the 3 guardians sub-classes and eventually the guardians prevail.
