Destiny receives a BIG Weapon rebalance and Enrages Guardians
Bungie announced that it will launch a new weapon update for Destiny, this in order to reduce the damage of some weapons and balance the game, but how will the players of the game react?
The hand cannon Thorn, exotic Gjallarhom rocket, assault rifles and others will receive a reduction of damage to the competitive mode, this after detecting that the weapons have unbalanced the player vs. player mode.
Also, the balance of weapons aims Players do not discriminate against others for having less powerful weapons, like the case of rocket Gjallarhom, which, Bungie, is so strong that players who do not have it are rejected by those who have it in their possession.
”We definitely intended to have a high damage Heavy Weapon that was ideal for PvE destruction. What we did not intend, and what we unfortunately saw, was pick up Raid and Nightfall groups gating participation based on whether or not players had this weapon. Gjallarhorn was so strong that for many people it had become the only answer to getting through tough encounters, and therefore they were less willing to spend time with other players that didn’t have it.
The update will come with The Taken King, the next big expansion Destiny will be released on September 15. We know the community is not too trilled about getting weapons re-balanced or tuning in the 2.0 update and a huge number of Guardians are just confused as to why such a big update on weapons.
Many of you guardians spent so many hours, days, weeks and months in pursuing for the covenant Gjallarhom and now is going to be re-balanced. Let me know how you guys feel and what is in your mind from those that we have not heard from you. We feel your pain!
We will be braking down each category from all the different weapons that are getting re-balanced or tuning to let you know how it will impact you in PVP and PVE.
