A material is an item that can be obtained by players either randomly in certain locations or by breaking down other items such as weapons and armor. Some materials can be exchanged with vendors in the Tower for Glimmer, Vanguard Marks, or Crucible Marks

- Crux of Crota (obtained in the raid) – It’s used to upgrade Eidolon Ally to Necrochasm
- Embalming Orb (upgrade material from Eris) – It’s used to upgrade Husk of the Pit to Eidolon Ally
- Runed Core (upgrade material from Eris) It’s used to upgrade Murmur to Murmur
- Radiant Energy – Legendary raid weapon upgrade material for increasing weapon damage
- Radiant Shard
- Eyes of the Forsaken
- Hive Ember
- Hive Rune
- Seething Mist
- Embers of the Lesser
- Dried Crimson
