Darksiders II definitive edition coming to the PS4
Nordic Games confirmed the release of Darksiders II on PlayStation 4. The critically acclaimed title will arrive in a final version and remastered for next-generation console from Sony. Although a representative of the developer said the leak of this release on a list of Amazon was true were not yet ready to discuss the project.
Darksiders II was one of the last games released by THQ distributor, now declared bankrupt. This title originally came in August 2012 to PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC and although it is likely that a remastered edition comes out for Xbox One, has not yet been confirmed.
Nordic Games has acquired various intellectual properties of the now defunct THQ, among which are Darksiders , Red Faction , MX vs. ATV , Destroy all Humans! , Summoner and Supreme Commander . It is estimated that Australia based company invested $4.9 MDD in acquiring these franchises.
In the middle of last year, hopes to return to enjoy Darksiders were sparked when Joe Madureira, former creative director of THQ, answered their Facebook fans that the series was not dead because “the new owner, Nordic, seemed very committed to continue the series “.
