Creators of Dark Souls III working an a new franchise
In an interview with GNN Gamer, Hidetaka Miyazaki, director of Dark Souls III, he said his latest installment will have 2 DLC packs. The first will arrive in autumn this year and the second in 2017.
As for the future of the study, the creator said that after Dark Souls III will seek a new direction and, in fact, confessed already working on a new franchise.
Miyazaki was blunt in saying that, for him, the universe of Dark Souls has concluded; however, he did not dare to rule out the possibility that someone else continue the series in the future.
For now, the developer does not seem interested in doing a remake or remastering of Demon Souls nor a sequel to Bloodborne.
On the contrary, when GNN Gamer wondered if there was a new sequel to Armored Core , his old saga of wicks, Miyasaki replied: “Personally, I want to.” However, the creator did not disclose further details.
