In this guide, we’re going to show you where to locate the Cipher, as well as the solutions to every Arithmancy puzzle door throughout Hogwarts.
The Cipher Location:
Starting at the Divination Classroom floo flame, head through the door right directly next to the floo flame and make your way down the walk way.
At the split in the path, take the right and the box holding the cipher will located resting on a bench.
Arithmancy Doors:
Puzzle Door 1:
Imediately after collecting the cipher, turn around to be met with the first.
The dials are located to the left (?) and right (??) of the door.
The Solution:
Puzzle Door 2:
After solving the first door, continue on forward until you enter the Arithmancy Classroom, then turn left making your way to the next Puzzle Door.
The dials are located to the left (?) and right (??) of the door.
The Solution:
Puzzle Door 3:
The next door is located within the same room, being straight ahead entering the classroom or to the left leave the second puzzle room.
The dials are located to the left (?) and right (??) of the door.

Puzzle Door 4:
Next, fast travel to the Ravenclaw Tower floo flame, and imdiately to your right will be the Puzzle Door
The dials are located to the behind you (?) and on the right (??) of the door you came in from.

Puzzle Door 5:
Now make your way toward the Grand Staircase, and head downwards where you’ll eventually run into the door.
The dials are located to left of the door (?) and down the stairs right below the door near the Grand staircase floo flame (??).

Puzzle Door 6:
From the last Puzzle Door, make your way up the Grand Staircase, where you’ll eventually run into the next Door.
The dials are located to left of the door up the stairs (?) and right behind you (??) looking at the door.
The Solution:
Puzzle Door 7:
Fast travel to the Potions Classroom floo flame, and head into the central hall where you imediately see the next door.
The dials are located to left of the door (?) and up the stairs right above the door (??).
The Solution:
Puzzle Door 8:
Head back towards the Potions Classroom floo flame and make your way through the door, and down the stairs, where you’ll come across a locked door.
- You’ll need to have completed the The Caretaker’s Lunar Lament questline, unlocking you the Alohomora level 1 spell.
Now make your way all the way down the hallway until you come across Peeves, and turn left and you’ll find the next door.
The Solution:
Puzzle Door 8:
Fast Travel to the Charms Classroom floo flame, turn around and instead of heading up the stairs, turn left.
The dials are located to the left (?) and right (??) of the door.
The Solution:
Puzzle Door 9:
Fast Travel to the Great Hall and turn left towards the window, then heading down the hall way to the next one.
The dials are located behind you on the left (?) and right (??) walls.
The Solution:
Puzzle Door 10:
Fast Travel to the Hospital Wing floo flame and then turn around, heading out the door closest to it and making your way down multiple stairs until you come across the next door.
The dials are located behind you on the left (?) and right (??) walls.
