Thor God of Thunder Video Review
Thor God of Thunder a third-person, Action Adventure video game pulled from the Marvel Comics Universe. Where you battle enemies after enemies throughout each level using your combos and god powers that you possess along with using your mystical hammer “Mjolnir”.
Gameplay 6
The game starts with asgard being attacked by enemies who want to take back what belongs to them but they encounter Thor god of who is the only one that is able to stop them from taking over asgard.
Throughout the game you will use your powerful Mjolnir to fight, create combos, use it as a shield and much more. From the very beginning Thor god of thunder is full of non-stop fighting where you do meles, combos and some cool attacks to defeat the enemy easier. Thor comes with god powers like wind power which allows him to use it as a cyclone to pick up enemies and toss them around like they were nothing. The lighting power is good for raw damage which will help you destroy your enemy quicker and Thunder power helps you break armor which exposes vulnerability. Don’t forget to check out the Thor god of thunder walkthrough to find out more on how to use Thor’s god abilities.
The game comes with a valor systems which allows you to upgrade your powers, but to do that you have to defeat enemies and complete objectives throughout the game.
The key of the game is the combat system as it is in any other games but to me Thor is average on this, as beating up enemies throughout the whole gameplay becomes fun in the beginning but there is no real strategy to completing the game and just smashing enemies for all the levels becomes redundant.
Graphics 6
The graphics are average, they lack environmental feel to it and enemies are not well defined with scenes lacking realism. It seems that Sega just wanted to publish the game to take advantage of the movie thor which is being released the same week.
Sound 6
Lets not even get there, I was using my px5 and I was trying to understand all the sounds specially a screechy sound which comes out a lot during the game. The sound in the games does not capture the real feel of destroying and attacking enemies with the use of attacks and god powers. The sound is very poor and it could have been better.
Thor god of thunder was a game which is taking advantage of the release of the movie, however, sega should had spent more time on details and gameplay action and making thor a hit not a fail.
