Nobody expected it , but through a press release 2K and Firaxis announced that Sid Meier’s Civilization VI, the new installment of the popular franchise, coming this year. According to the companies, the strategy title will be available on PC from October 21.
The statement said Civilization VI “will offer players new ways to interact with the world, expand their empire around the map, advance their culture, and compete against the greatest leaders in history.” This will be possible thanks to features such as the expansive empires and active research, which will take full advantage of your land to build your empire and increase the speed at which your civilization progresses.
So, now your cities will be divided into several districts, each with different lands and resources, and that they ‘ll give more space to develop your civilization. According to Ed Beach, designer at Firaxis, the above will of Civilization VI “a unique experience that stays true to what makes the series Civilization so special.”
In this installment, your interactions with other civilizations will change throughout the game, so old enemies can become allies and vice versa. Also, you can now make support units accompany your soldiers or warriors.
For Sid Meier’s Civilization VI is not an experience accessible only to experts, the game will feature a system of tutorials that enable novices to quickly find the way to victory. The game will also feature multiplayer modes, in which you can compete or cooperate with your friends in “a variety of situations that are designed to be easily completed in a single session.”
