PlayStation 4 Conference Breakdown from Sony
PlayStation 4 Conference Breakdown from Sony, new game titles, new dualshock controller, and a new social inspired console.
The PlayStation 4 conference presentation in New York started on time, and the news that everyone expected was soon confirmed: Andrew House, president of Sony Computer Entertainment , was the first to go on stage to officially announce PlayStation 4 , the new console from the Japanese company.
To give more specific details Mark Cerny , primarily responsible for the architecture of the machine, who wanted to make clear that they have worked closely with the game development studios to offer a system that fits like a glove to his needs.
On the user side, the social component of PS4 and the ability to share experiences were a repeated concepts. Dave Perry , president of Gaikai , emerged to highlight ideas like turning PSN into a powerful social network for gamers or the possibility of expand the gaming experience beyond PS4 with the help of a second screen, whether that of PS Vita or a tablet or smartphone. He also announced that all games PlayStation history would be available in the cloud.
Further confirmation was expected since the joystick, because basically responds to what already had been leaked days ago: the Dual Shock 4 will look at the line of his predecessors, but add a touch panel on the front, a microphone and a button with social features to share videos of our game with our friends. In addition, the control interface with a new stereo camera will recognize our position in the room, and improve the design of the triggers.
After this long debut of PS4 , all who were following the event where eager to see the new games. Then began a parade of heads of the first titles in which we discovered up to 13 titles, but not all were alike: there were a few live demonstrations, many videos and even the odd ad that was not accompanied by image.
In our opinion the podium occupied three great titles: Watchdogs , advanced sandbox that Ubisoft unveiled at E3, Capcom Deep Down , a new fantastic game we propose setting out to hunt dragons, and Killzone Shadow Fall of Guerrilla , a new installment of shoot’em up , which showed a spectacular technical section.
Media Molecule , the creators of Little Big Planet , surprised with an original proposal that focuses on the control of PS Move in PS4 , although it was not clear on its gameplay. Bungie , meanwhile, brought Destiny under its arm, and Evolution Studios , creators of Motorstorm, presented Drive Club, a driving game that revolves around the social and multiplayer component.
Other ads as the arrival of Diablo III for PS3 and PS4 or the promise of a new Final Fantasy by Square Enix completed this round of announcements.
The last pill before finishing informative was the announcement that PS4 will be available in late 2013 , but did not revealed its price and, above all, its appearance, something that left everyone misplaced. It will take probably the next E3 in Los Angeles in June to see how the new machine looks like . Do not be beyond doubt that we will be bring you the full coverage.
