Online Support for the Resistance Series will soon come to an end.
Sony announced this week that during the first half of next year it will no longer operate online features several games, including Gran Turismo 5 and the complete Resistance Series. This will mean the end for those titles lacking single player campaign and completely revolve around multiplayer.
So, as of January 28, MAG, SOCOM: Confrontation and SOCOM: Special Forces cease to have online support, there by MAG and Confrontation is definitely fired. It should be noted that in the case of these games in particular announcement had been made since July .
On March 28, it will cease to have multiplayer support for all 3 Resistance games for PlayStation 3, although they themselves will be running in story mode. Finally, on May 20 the online mode will be ending for Gran Turismo 5, the consolation is that recently debuted Gran Turismo 6.
Undoubtedly, all these, MAG is the game that most remember for his ambitious multiplayer battles allow for up to 256 players, which was and still is something special about consoles. We assume that only managed to collect that amount very early in their life cycle and must now be difficult to have big games as well, but whatever it is, there’s still a month to give its farewell.
