New Call of Duty Game by Infinity Ward arriving this year
Activision Blizzard revealed that Infinity Ward will develop a new Call of Duty in 2016, ie three years after the release of Call of Duty: Ghosts, the latest installment.
Ghosts was the last title published by Activision before the franchise is partitioned in 3 studios. At that time, the company explained that its aim was to give three years to each team so they could create something to live up to the series.
The first such game was Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Sledgehammer Studios in 2014, followed by Call of Duty: Black Ops III Treyarch in 2015. This year, the new Call of Duty Infinity Ward closed the first cycle of this stage .
So far, Call of Duty has generated more than $15 MMDD result of 250 million copies sold and much DLC. In other words, things look great and it seems that Activision stellar franchise will soon wane.
