Monster Hunter 4 and Dead Rising 3 help capcom Finances
The latest financial report, Capcom revealed that its net sales 3.5%, equivalent to $736 MDD increased. However, the company had a slight decrease of 13.4% in operating income.
The company said that the combination of strong sales of Monster Hunter 4 (over 4 million units) and Dead Rising 3 (1 million) helped meet their sales projections, while games like Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies and DuckTales: Remastered had better sales than expected.
However, last year, Capcom has reduced its projected less than half due to the change to digital media revenue, which led to a restructuring to take the company to the market of digital and mobile downloads. Despite their efforts, the mobile content company failed to achieve expected sales, which was attributed to the lack of good titles and a very competitive environment.
