Main characters in the Killer is Dead:
- Mondo Zappa – The protagonist. A 35-year-old American man who is hired by the Brian Execution Firm in order to hunt down criminals throughout the world. He is a brutal killer and a womaniser.
- Vivian Squall – A 25-year-old English woman who works in the Brian Execution Firm as Mondo Zappa’s boss. She gets angry if people ask her too many personal questions.
- Mika Takekawa – A 20-year-old Japanese woman who works as Mondo Zappa’s assistant. The two live together, although it is not clear what their exact relationship is beyond simple friends. She is a bit ditzy, but is skilled at making half-boiled eggs – Mondo Zappa’s favorite food.
- Brian Roses – The 65-year-old American chief of the Execution Office. Formerly an Executioner himself, Brian underwent cybernetic enhancement at some point and is now a fully-fledged cyborg. He is a proud man who shows indifference towards his management.
- Damon- A mysterious man.
