Through an entry in the PlayStation Blog , Sony announced that the closed Beta of Gran Turismo Sport already has a start date. According to the distributor, this trial period will begin on March 17.
In the publication, Kazunori Yamauchi, head of Polyphony Digital, said the trial period will be exclusive to “select PlayStation Network users”. So Yamauchi invited all PlayStation 4 owners in this region to watch out for the messages they receive in their console inbox to see if they are one of the lucky participants.
Yamauchi explained that they chose to make it exclusive to the United States because, in order to capture the data they need, the size of the test should be increased gradually. Therefore, they believe that the time zones that exist in that country are coupled with those of the development team in Tokyo, Japan.
This means that Gran Turismo Sport servers will only be open to users at “specific times throughout the day”. The study promised to give more details about schedules on its official site and its social networks.
In the blog entry, Yamauchi stressed that he hopes to be back soon to share more details about greater access to the Beta for the community. Sony also launched registration sites for the trial period for America and Europe .
The Beta of Gran Turismo Sport will offer access to a rotation of cars and tracks every day, which you can run in different categories. Also, you will know the statistics of the driver profile, which will allow the game to face other similar pilots.
