Gears of War Judgment 11 Things You Need to Know
Gears of War Judgment 11 Things You Need to Know as you meet the dangerous adventure starring the Kilo Squad.
With a trilogy whose duration spread over five years, it was almost certain that future titles of Gears of War would reach the next gen console from Microsoft. It seems that we were mistaken, as Epic Games made a last effort to tell us a new story on the Xbox 360, to be honest, it stays true to the franchise but is something that we perceive differently. For one we do not know what specific element makes it different, could be the new additions, changes in the game mechanics or just the new context in which it occurs. We are a few days of the launch of Gears of War: Judgment and have prepare a list of 11 important facts before enlisting in the ranks of the COG.
1. Judgment was a collaboration between Epic Games and People Can Fly.
When Judgment was announced days before E3 2012, the first thing we knew is that it was being developed by Epic Games and People Can Fly, known for creating Bulletstorm . The work was divided into equal parts: the campaign for up to 4 players was fully developed by People Can Fly, and while the multiplayer component where built by Epic Games, so we have the best of two worlds in one delivery . Needless to say, it is unnecessary to worry about having two completely different experiences, in fact, the opposite is true, as the harmonious work between the two studies devised a unified product in every way.
2. The story of Judgment is a prelude to the original trilogy.
While it is true that Gears of War 3 marked the end of the story of Marcus Fenix, there were many events during the war that were omitted by the Locust and never met. Some occurred immediately after Emergence Day, when the Horde emerged from the depths of Sera to declare war against humanity. Judgment will tell us what happened during the 30 days after that historic event, which allow us to meet a COG army which was not ready to face the threat, and that caused despair and terror among the inhabitants of Sera. For that reason, Judgment is the hardest title the franchise, in terms of the confrontation with the Locust.
3. Damon Baird and Kilo Squad will the main charters.
Forget Marcus Fenix, he will not have a direct role in the history of Judgment , perhaps in Aftermath and as a multiplayer skin. The leading role is now up to the always sarcastic Damon Baird, who is now know for less mocking and more responsible than in other installments of the series. Beside him, Augustus Cole aka Cole Train-is back with Hendrick Garruk Paduk and Sofia, the two new characters making their debut in the title. The 4 form the Kilo Squad, a group of soldiers led by Baird (then Lieutenant), who were accused of betraying the COG because they apparently caused the death of millions of humans, and were sent to court martial to give evidence of the events. The reason that part of the spotlight falls on the 4 is because, they will have to narrate their versions of the story, and we will monitor each as they lead us through their own respective sections of the campaign.
4. Karn the scariest General the Locust Horde has had.
Before RAAM was the military leader of the Locust, Karn existed. Ruthless and calculating, Karn is a Drone whose physical deformities excluded him from the Horde at an early age, but somehow managed to join the rank of general. His military strategies were responsible for destroying a large percentage of Sera in days, starting with the UIR, and to be more specific, the Republic of Gorasnaya. The Locust is generally considered the driving force in Emergence Day and the most fearsome enemy ever faced by the COG. Karn is seen only rarely, usually riding a spider looking beast known as Shibboleth, with whom he has a strong emotional bond that makes them inseparable, it is certain that this duo will face an impressive record boss battle to save Halvo Bay from imminent destruction.
5. A new intuitive control scheme
Judgment is not only different in game modes, characters and history, but also changed some game mechanics in order to liven up the experience of new and old players of the franchise, and mainly, the control scheme. In essence, it is basically the same, the changes are that we can now throw grenades quickly by pushing the left bumper or you leave to throw down a specific path, in the case of weapons, the “Y” will be responsible for swap, limiting ourselves to 2, and the D Pad works as the Tac-Com. According to Epic, changes were made to allow players to act much more quickly and concisely and to make the layout less confusing and more user friendly.
6. Declassified Missions the way things really happened
As Kilo Squad disclosing the history they lived, there will be times that we will find gigantic crimson omens attached to the walls of some areas of the campaign. If you press “A” it will allow us to activate declassified missions, which are just small events during the Baird and company history can comment or omit their testimony. For accepting the mission, the campaign will become the place for us a range of challenges. For example, defeating enemies in a given time with specific weapons, prevent them from destroying any element within the scene, found objects, to name activities that are responsible for modifying your experience, which of course also can be affected through the Intelligent System Appearance of enemies, responsible for making the Locust appear in different places every time you die or repeat episodes of the campaign.
7. Overrun a hybrid between Horde and Beast mode
One of the new multiplayer component of Judgment , and the pride of Epic Games, is overrun. Broadly speaking, the method combines the best of Horde and Beast modes to offer competitive clashes 5 on 5, where a computer uses Gears to protect the objectives while the other, consisting of different Locust creatures, seeks to destroy. Overrun is probably the games mode that requires more teamwork because the class system, also new to Judgment , allows both Gears and Locust to have a wide variety of skills, which is use varies and well managed is the key to victorious in each round.
8. Aftermath is the second campaign in Judgment
You will get stars while playing the campaign in Judgment , you will also get declassified missions and will be able to unlock a second campaign. This returns us to the events of Gears of War 3 , more specifically, the time when Marcus Baird, Cole and Clayton Carmine helped in assisting him in Azura. That will be set in time to live in the company of a Paduk Garron, who was also affected physically over the years. The Aftermath has more of the Gears 3 game mechanics , but keep some of the aggregates as weapons, enemies and control scheme, not to mention it will last 4-5 hours.
9. Free-for-all, a dream for those who play as lone wolves
No matter what title of Gears you’ve played, you know that each paragraph multiplayer mode consists only in team meetings. Not saying you are wrong, but some people prefer the path of a lone wolf rather than relying on others to win. Thinking about it, Epic incorporated free-for-all, which as the name implies, makes combat 10 people, all against all, without allies involved. You must keep your instincts alert active and well, everything that moves will depend hostile and victorious only your individual skills and, why not, for times when you take advantage of the vulnerability of others who are crumbling deaths each other to get easy.
10. Domination is the spiritual successor to King of the Hill
King of the Hill in Gears of War 3 was a hybrid mode of the same name that appeared in Gears 2 with Annex. Now undergoes a slight transformation and is called Domination. The difference is that static find 3 rings on the map, at random, your team must maintain control as long as possible to achieve the required score to win the game. You wonder how you can offer a different experience. Before you and your team had to focus on one area and concentrate to defend it now, you will be distributed in three areas, just as they will do the opponents as they fight to the death to maintain the dominance of the three rings at the same time Only then scored enough points so much faster.
11. The Locust participation is minimal in mutliplayer
Although Overrun allow us to control various creatures of the Locust horde, it is important to mention that their participation will be limited to that mode, which means that the other modes that make the competitive multiplayer component will be designed between 2 teams Gears, blue against red to be precise. For many it will be a factor no pleasure at all, as there are too many fans who prefer to tear COG soldiers then to join them. Another factor that was removed is the ability to take down enemies (DBNO).Now the rivals die instantly without possibility of run, however, this function remains intact in the campaign.
This should have you prepared for when Gears of War Judgment launches and don’t forget gamerfuzion.com will have you covered with all you need to know about gears, from the walkthrough, review, multiplayer strategies and more.
