After years of development, Square Enix decided to make the long awaited Final Fantasy Versus XIII PlayStation 3 Final Fantasy XV we all know today also confirmed to be released in both Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
A decision apparently was in the hands of Sony, who at one point ruled pay to maintain their exclusivity. Or so suggests a source closely linked to industry, Ahsan Rasheed, who until now has always offered pretty close to reality rumors.
“It could also have been because Sony refused to open his checkbook. Honestly exclusives in this day and age are stupid,” he explains. Although obviously there is nothing official about it, yes credible that at first, Square Enix decided to maintain the exclusivity of Final Fantasy Versus XIII on Sony consoles.
