Developers of The Witcher 3 detail game missions
Wild Hunt will have 36 different endings
In an interview with a British place last May 1, 2014, several developers CD Projekt RED talked about the creative process for designing missions for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and the challenges they have to overcome so that the title will be 36 different endings , 20 more than its prequel, and get to take 100 hours to complete the game as promised the fans.
Apparently, when writers and game designers give their opinion in creating missions, sometimes there is a conflict as to whether it is feasible to include them in the game or not. The head writer of The Witcher 3 , Jakub SZAMALEK said: “On one hand, it’s nice to have so many different ways and many different options as possible, but on the other, keep in mind that we have to implement them and think the constraints presented by the budget. ”
Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz, chief designer of missions, talked about the difficulty in creating the quests: “It differs in specific cases, sometimes the information comes from them [the writers], and give us very broad scenarios regarding what will happen and we have to add those details in a way that suits the game, you really can implement it. They are writers. Sometimes they do not understand what not to do in a game. “Also added that sometimes your computer first and then make missions looking how to add it to the story.
The Witcher 3 has 14 designers missions, while the first delivery had 4 and the second with 6. This is evident in the huge number of different endings with which count the title. Tomaszkiewicz also said the start and end of the game is the hardest thing to do because, more than any other segment, should attract fans and not disappoint.
TW3: Wild Hunt come out around February 2015, as the studio decided to dedicate a few months to their development to achieve a quality that satisfies. It will be the last adventure of Geralt of Rivia, the titular character franchise created by author Andrzej Sapkowski Polish.
