In 2054, military tech has advanced in ways we might not be able to imagine now but Sledgehammer is pushing the envelope to something that has never been seen before.
Sledgehammer Games’ vision of this future in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare game is one that gadgets are advance that make you think what the military is up-to. with high end military gadgets that you can see the 3D screens leave you wonder what else are we to expect coming November 4th.
Exo Suit
EXO suit will offer players enhanced in-game abilities, including extra strength, boost-jumps, boost-dodge, and much more. The EXO suits in Advanced Warfare carry a smaller battery size than the prototypes in development today. Gamers will be able to punch through doors to initiate the dramatic slow-motion breach sequences from previous Call of Duty games. Certain characters can also enter mechanical suits with moving plates of heavy armor that quickly protects them like the one below:
Hover Bike
Advanced Warfare’s hover bike features a windshield composed of “smart glass” that allows UI to meld with others in the game. It’s angular armor is designed to deflect enemy fire and shifts as the bike moves. “Players ride the advanced one-man bikes through the flooded streets of Detroit, fleeing from enemy forces at high speeds.”
Aircraft
Modern military vehicles with angles on the underside, which makes them better able to weather blasts from bombs or mines. Sledgehammer predicts the function of military vehicles like MRAPs (Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected), tanks, and helicopters won’t change in the future, but the form will continue to change. Sledgehammer envisions a future where all flying vehicles have vertical takeoff, which eliminates the need for a runway.
Plasma-powered Rifle
This is the same plasma rifle seen mounted on an SUV that fires blue blasts, devastating other enemy vehicles.
3D-Printer Rifle
Players load in a canister of liquid matter and rack it by pulling back on the bolt. Once securely housed, the internal computer begins printing ammunition on the spot. You will also be able to see the number of bullets created.
