The official newspaper of the People’s Liberation Army of China, Zhongguo Guofangbao attacked the DLC deBattlefield 4 Rising China and considers it part of a “culture war to discredit the image of China in the world and distort the truth.”
According to the publisher of the newspaper, China Rising is an example of “use of video games to discredit the image of a country in the eyes of others as a new form of cultural aggression.” The newspaper added: “In recent years, with the strengthening of China, foreign companies seeking to embed the Sino-American conflict as a gimmick to get attention.”
The marking could lead to the prohibition of gambling, since the People’s Liberation Army, an institution founded during the war between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party, is one of the pillars of order in China. The antagonism against China Battlefield 4 binds to numerous disorders and gambling problems which have caused a financial investigation on Wall Street for alleged sabotage, financial manipulation and selling stocks with unfair advantages by EA executives.
