You're Hired!

Follow Stanz and Spengler down to the basement. Stanz will instruct you in the use of the blaster beam and the muon traps. You will gain the Sloth Ghost entry and stand to be slimed by Slimer if you remain still. Once you trap the Sloth Ghost, you will be able to head back upstairs and head to the hotel.

Extended Service Agreement

This checkpoint chiefly lets you get to the hotel and eases you into the game. You can't do anything from this checkpoint apart from entering the hotel, so don't worry about it.

On-the-job Training

On the guest floor, zap Slimer and get another cut-scene. This checkpoint will be very brief.

Slime Trail

Once Venkman stays behind and Stanz asks you to whip it out (the PKE meter, not your e-Nads), you will have to track Slimer down in the various objects the spud is hiding in. Scan the various ectoplasm residue (so you can ignore it later) and locate Venkman at the elevators to head back downstairs.

Rough Descent

A brief checkpoint that starts you off at the lobby. Capture two of the bellhop ghosts (after scanning them) and drive off Slimer and the other two ghosts by whittling down Slimer's lifebar to about one-third.

Bad Service

Follow Venkman to the Alhambra Room, then again to the kitchen for another checkpoint. Use this time in the lobby to explore for cursed artifacts, as your PKE meter is now unlocked.

Air in the Lines

In the kitchen, scan and destroy the flying fish ghosts. Soon afterwards, Venkman will give you the capture beam tutorial. Move the fridge out of the way and head into ....

Rodriguez Bar Mitzvah

At the bar mitzvah, you do what the Ghostbusters did 7 years ago - trap Slimer into a muon trap. While here, you can do the extra task by destroying the ham on the long dining table. The artifact here is behind the bar as well. Destroy the wall to get to it.

The Bellhops are Restless

Trap Slimer and meet the others outside. Another one of those cut-scene checkpoints.

Charge of the Light Brigade

Trap the final few bellhop ghosts and there'll be another disturbance. Use the chance now to play with the ghost trap. You can throw out a new trap (teleporting the old one into your hand) by deploying another trap. Collect a trap when you catch a ghost to build up to the "collect 20 ghost traps" task.

Sargassi's by the Sea

Head upstairs to catch the new ghost. The flooded hallways only mean you have more things to find. Check the extras section for what they are. If you are lost in the flooded hallway (seriously -- how?) whip out your PKE meter and locate the energy spikes. Be sure to tap the capture beam button to quickly zoom back into the blaster beam (shooting) mode instead of the PKE view.

And the kitchen sink too

Enter the Sargassi Lounge and chase the ghost a round a little bit. Scan it when you can. Soon, it will change into the Kitchen Golem and you will have to fight it with the help of the other Ghostbusters. Once the head is exposed, use the capture beam to manually yank the ghost out of the golem's body and trap it.

You get this entry automatically at the firehouse.

Scan the ectoplasm on the guest floor before you head back downstairs to fight the bellhop ghosts.

Chances are you will be able to complete this scan before you even fully scan Slimer in the hallway. Remember, there are more later, but once you complete the hotel, these ghosts do not appear anymore.

When Venkman accompanies you to the kitchen, there'll be a patch of black slime you can scan and complete the entry for. Even if you cannot wash it off just yet, scanning it will free you to fight the monsters the slime generates later.

Zap the dead fish in the kitchen after you scan them. If you have your difficulty setting set too low, you may need to replay this mission again as Venkman will destroy all the ghosts before you even have a chance to scan them.

Slimer can be fully scanned at the bar mitzvah. Mazeltov.

The crawlers are in the flooded hallways and there are plenty of them. Scan them first then zap them later.

Scan this ghost before or after the golem is wrecked. If you are alert, you can complete the entry before it turns into the Kitchen Golem at the lounge.

You have plenty of time to scan this monster, but will you survive it's punch attack? Before you wrangle the spirit out of the body, scanning it will give you the golem entry.
