Dr Rutherford I presume Locate the curator and you can get an artifact here as well (not to mention some partial ghost scans). If you are attempting to complete the game with less than $100,000 in property damage, use the slime tethers to move objects aside from the power switch. If you move through them using Hoss' body, his fat ass will break the boxes. Slime the possessed human (a new scan) and trap the possessor ghost (another new scan).
| Opening Night |
Scan the ghosts and possessed humans in the lobby to complete their entries, then slime the humans to drive out the ghosts. Trap all the ghosts in the lobby and use the PKE scanner to find the trail.

Locate the trail with the PKE meter and Venkman will open the door. Note that his model saunters to follow you, so if you are exploring the lobby, he will take forever to catch up to where you are.
| Chairman Chase |
Just follow the chairman ghost (you can attempt to scan parts of him as he flees) and deal with the possess statues. The statues have hard hitting weapons, so consider upgrading the shotgun (Shock Blast) or the boson darts to finish the job quickly.
| Ruined Hallway |
This hallway is a hidden death trap if you don't take it slow. Attack one side with another Ghostbuster and follow him around so he can revive you (and vice versa) until you can get to the fake pyramid. Once there, the skull swarms should stop and you can proceed to the next chamber.
| American History |
If you want the extra trophy or achievement for the Civil War exhibit, activate all the voice tours before leaving. Once the exhibit exhibit explodes into chaos, some of the boxes are blocked off or destroyed.
| Ghost War |
This checkpoint simply starts you off when the ghosts start shooting in the museum. Trap all the ghosts to get out. Too bad you have no more tables to try your table cloth trick on, and there aren't that many museum magic tricks.
| Little Egypt |
The Egyptian black mass has some ghosts and statues. The exit is hidden by magic. Scan for the door using the PKE meter, but if you know where it is already, simply shoot the slime thrower on the wall and the doorway magically appears.
| Unexpected Guests |
The maintenance hallway where Venkman jumps out to spook you and Zeddemore. The giant statue head artifact and one of the drinking fountains are both here.
| The Ossuary |
The exhibit past the maintenance hallway. Roast everything carefull if you are trying to avoid large damage, but if you are going after the trophy or achievement, the Destructor, the museum has a lot of objects to break.
| Board of Trustees |
The final hallway back towards the Gozer exhibit. Stanz and Spengler radio in about the mysterious board of trustees while freaky animated preternatural statues try to cut your face off so they can wear it.
| Ilyssa Found |
The cut-scene where Ilyssa is at the obelisk, followed shortly by you destroying said obelisk with or without scanning it.
| Deep Dark and Spooky |
Down the sewers. Spengler will activate the final attachment, the Meson Collider. Don't upgrade everything just yet. You mostly need the heat allowance for both the Meson shots. The last few scans will be at the boss fight, not in these empty tunnels.
| It's the Chairman |
The boss is weak against the Meson Collider, but hitting him requires you to tag him with a tracking shot, then follow up with the overburst charge. You can boson dart the sum'bitch, but that will not do as much damage to the boss as several well placed Meson Colider shots. Since the guy is constantly moving, use the tracking shots. While you are here, the other monsters you can scan are the Black Slime fiends, venom crawlers and the black slime portal. Finish scanning them before you plug the portals temporarily with slime. Only then will you be able to concentrate on the boss and waste his ass.

Scan this ghost right after you meet the curator Dr. Rutherford. Slime these targets to drive the ghost out.

The best one to scan is the first one you meet when you find the museum curator. Once you go upstairs, things get more chaotic.

The many ghosts in the Gozer lobby are of this type. Its flirty voice sample gives it away.

These things hurl explosive javelins at your face. Use the boson dart or the shock blaster to take them down.

These green skulls can be scanned on the last stage if you want (they will be a different color, but scannable). If you get too close to the Chairman, he will leave and your allies will likely shoot down all the remaining skulls. If not, the skulls gather quickly and shred you to pieces like the kryll (or those alien creatures in Pitch Black).

A few of these ghosts will accompany the Chairman at the Egyptian exhibit. Scan them first, then zap them, or you lose vital info.

These creatures come out of the slime portals and swarm you. Don't forget they probably love eating your face.

The spider crawlers from the slime portal. Swarmers and such. Scan and zap.

The boss of this level. Not the Big Boss. Just the boss. Like a boss. It's mostly a factor of hosing him when he appears and sliming the portals that respawn when the boss does. With the other Ghostbusters around, this isn't hard (the small enemies anyway), but the boss takes time to take out.
